In 2010/2011
we base our teaching on the kindergarten program ‘Nasze Przedszkole/Our
Kindergarten' by Małgorzata Kwaśniewska and Wiesława Żaba-Żabińska. The program
promotes a child's active development and follows the new guidelines of the
Ministry of Education. Additionally, in the answer to the needs of our
children, and in an attempt to surround our children with professional and
adequate intellectual stimulation by our trained staff members, we implement
our own Kindergarten Education Program ‘Świat Małego Odkrywcy/Little
Discoverer's World'.
In the
Polish language education for 3- and 4-year-olds we use the ‘Przedszkole
trzylatka/Kindergarten for 3-year-olds' and ‘Przedszkole
czterolatka/Kindergarten for 4-year-olds' teaching resources. In the Polish
education of older groups, 5- and 6-year-olds, we use the ‘Szkoła
pięciolatka/School for 5-year-olds' and ‘Szkoła sześciolatka/School for
6-year-olds' teaching resources, which provide the most appropriate,
well-suited and interesting stimulation for our kindergarteners.
In Polish
language education we also use the elements of ‘glottodidactics', which is a
method of teaching to read and write designed by Bronisław Rocławski, Ph. D. We
start using the elements of this method already with 2,5-year-olds. We also
implement the elements of ‘Metody
Dobrego Startu/Methods of a Good Start' by Marta Bogdanowicz, Małgorzata
Barańska and Ewa Jakucka.
We begin
education in mathematics as early as with 3-year-olds with the use of methods
and techniques described in ‘Dziecięca amtematyka/Child's mathematics' by Edyta
Gruszczyk-Kolczyńska, Ph. D. and Ewa Zielińska. Bearing in mind the importance
of an overall development, we never forget about such activities as physical
movement and artistic expression of our children.
